The records contained in this collection are primarily concerned with mission events profile, operational strategies, orbiter data handbooks and orbiter control documents. These documents have been arranged into six series. The collection includes detailed lists of peprogrammed sequences of maneuvering activities and mission events, in addition to detailed specifications for lander science data return. Also present are documents listing the criteria for orbiter landing site selection, environmental design, and integrated testing plans. Series five includes the orbiter telemetry data conversion handbooks, and series six includes management documents that contain project policy and launch criteria.
